Brad Hedges I got involved with wakeboarding because God created me with this desire in my heart. I'm forever grateful for this amazing gift. Its a wonderful lifestyle and a great way to spend life here on earth...enjoying creation, sharing relationships, getting exercise and challenging your self mentally and physically. I started wakeboarding behind a jet ski when I was 16. I didn't even know what wakeboarding was, but my dad saw it on TV and figured I'd be good at it. So, we got one! Four Malibu's and eleven years later with countless incredible memories on the lake, I still long to get out on the water every free moment. It's a disconnect for me; I get out there and forget about the everyday problems of life. As always, Im excited about progression of my riding and everyone around me. - Brad Hedges | Jamie Graff I got into wakeboarding back in 95' ish I think, with friend and business partner Chase Andrews and his dad Big 'Tidal Wave' Ted. Ted taught us how to trick, slalom on the course, air chair and wakeboard for the first time. A lot guys enjoy the contest side of the sport, but for me it's about having fun on the lake and pushing each other to try new tricks. There is nothing better than waking up early and hitting glassy water for the golden hour behind a meaty Wakesetter wake. My Mom has been my biggest supporter in my passion for wakeboarding by getting us into a Malibu Wakesetter VLX, I wouldn't be where I am without her sacrifice. For years, SMG has been there for me with the best wake products in the business and carries all of my favorite goodies from Liquid Force, REEF, Jet Pilot and Straight Line. With the release of "A Single Day" in 2010 and pushing forward with more unique events, like Wet Wednesdays, the Malibu Beach Party and rail jams, SMG Wake Shop has taken the reigns as the most progressive and involved wake shop in Atlanta. - Jamie Graff |
