Harris FloteBote Leads the Market in Rear Lounger Pontoon Designs

Introducing the All New 2010 Grand Mariner SL 2-tube
(FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Apr 16, 2010) Harris FloteBote is proud to introduce the newest addition to its popular Grand Mariner series, the Grand Mariner 250 SL 2-tube.  "We've taken our Grand Mariner SL 3-tube boat and redesigned it to accommodate lower horsepower engines and standard pair of tubes," says Bob Fieldhouse, engineer and head of product development for Harris FloteBote pontoons.  "The rear-lounger design has been extremely popular with Harris FloteBote's tri-tube models, so it is no surprise that it is now offering it on a two-tube boat," he added.

The Grand Mariner series consists of six models, including two standard outboards, two rear lounger outboards and two rear lounger sterndrives.  The original Grand Mariner outboard models offer a practical and roomy floor plan with an ergonomically-designed helm stand, plush loungers, and optional storage drawers. The sterndrive and SL version come standard with Harris FloteBote's Performance III Package with V-Step center tube technology.  Triple tubes, a full aluminum skin kit and strategically-placed lifting strakes allow this powerful vessel to glide across the water with increased performance and maneuverability.  On the Grand Mariner SEL and SL, there is a custom, oversized aft lounger with flip backrest, built-in storage, six stainless steel cup holders, and an exclusive stereo entertainment package that includes an iPod docking station and digital remote control.
 

With a rich color palette, an industry-leading fence design, and Imperial two-tone carpeting, the Grand Mariner sports a fresh look from top to tubes. In addition to its modern appearance, this pontoon is built for anything ¿ whether you like to entertain, cruise, ski or simply lounge around with the family.  LED docking lights, ample storage solutions and cup holders everywhere you turn are just a few of the details that will make your time on the water that much more enjoyable.

Harris FloteBote Launches Social Media Program

The Pursuit of Perfection Continues

(FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Jan 25, 2010) Harris FloteBote recently launched a customer-centric social media program. The goal of the program is three-fold: 1) to better serve current owners of Harris FloteBote pontoons; 2) to educate those who are thinking about acquiring their very first pontoon; and 3) to create an interactive online forum, where pontoon owners can share their amazing waterway experiences and weekend adventures, and exchange boating tips, ideas and resources with the rest of their growing online community. 
 

"Social networking sites such as Facebook are a great place for individuals to interact with other pontoon owners, share stories, upload favorite photos and videos, and gain insight from the experiences of other boaters," said Tricia Niebuhr, director of marketing and sales administration at Harris FloteBote. By tapping into the social networks increasingly used by the members of their audience, Harris FloteBote is better able to plug into their lives and directly engage and interact with its owners as well as potential buyers - keeping them informed of current trends and answering important pre-purchase questions.
